Fiat 600e in a new video

The future Fiat 600e, a new fully electric SUV from Fiat, appears in a new commercial published by the Italian manufacturer itself.

During the month of May, a series of information appeared according to which the Italian manufacturer Fiat is preparing to bring back the 600 model to the market. Apparently, it will be reborn in the form of a new compact SUV with all-electric propulsion.

Most of the time, car companies build anticipation before the launch of new models by using various teasers to gradually reveal design elements, materials or other aspects, but Fiat takes a different approach. The Italian brand has discreetly included images of the exterior and interior of the upcoming Fiat 600e in a new video.

The published video offers a pretty comprehensive look at the vehicle, showing the exterior from various angles, as well as some shots of the interior. The new SUV incorporates specific design elements of the 500 family, while introducing new elements such as “eyelashes”.

The Fiat 600e could be officially presented in July...Inside we can see a minimalist design, but the cabin has a fully digital instrument panel and a central screen for the infotainment system.

Fiat has not communicated technical details regarding its new model. However, the new model could share the platform with the Jeep Avenger and other similarly sized models from the Stellantis group. The Fiat 600e could get a single electric motor that generates around 156 hp and 260 Nm of torque. Also, the battery could be the same as on the Jeep Avenger, i.e. a 54 kWh unit.

Rumors suggest that the 600, like its Jeep Avenger cousin, will be available with a petrol engine in select markets, including Italy. This variant is expected to be equipped with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine capable of producing 100 PS.

A release date has not been announced. Again, rumors claim the event could take place on July 4 to coincide with the 500’s 65th anniversary.
