SUCESSO DE VENDAS: VW METEOR ATINGE 10 MIL UNIDADES PRODUZIDAS

VW Meteor line is sales success in the Brazilian market

The Meteor family of extra-heavy trucks has been increasingly conquering the roads of Brazil. Known for its strength, comfort and robustness, the largest Volkswagen vehicle in the world recently reached the mark of 10,000 units produced in less than three years since its creation, contemplating thousands of road transport, agribusiness and mining drivers.

“The confidence and robustness of the VW Meteor has been demonstrated in its market success. It is a source of pride to know that, less than three years after its creation, the truck has already become one of the best sellers in its category. Our extra-heavy family is conquering its space as a reference in the country, tailor-made for the satisfaction of our customers”, says Roberto Cortes, president and CEO of Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus.

To live up to the segment that pulls Brazil's riches, the Meteors were designed to provide drivers with a true first-class journey, satisfying the needs of customers with first-rate operational solutions. The advantages are also in the comfort, integrity and safety of the cargo and, more than that, the extra-heavy trucks offer a better operating cost, as they optimize the transport capacity for each customer.

Crossing borders...Recently, VWCO started exporting the Meteor to Argentina. Luxcam, the brand's dealership, delivered the first model to the Raptor Group. The route for the exported vehicles will be between the cities of Salta and Jujuy, in the west of the country, at an altitude that can reach 4,000 meters above sea level, to transport food and goods to the mining camps in the region.
