Toyota Prius T-Demand: the Prius like you've never seen it
Based on the opinions so far, it can be stated that the fifth generation Toyota Prius is the most beautiful in the line so far, so it was inevitable that Japanese tuners would get their hands on the new version sooner or later. The series was opened by the island’s T-Demand, which transformed Toyota’s now stylishly frugal car according to the tastes of the locals.
The undercarriage components they installed shine in a striking orange light, of which there are plenty. Practically the entire factory system was replaced with an air spring set, with the adaptive height control function, the new Prius can be lowered completely to the ground.
In this way, the car creates a dramatic visual effect, and the negative wheel camber is a real Japanese trait, without which a tuned car cannot kick into the ball.
T-Demand has also improved the brake system: the set can be ordered with larger discs of 355 mm or 380 mm and six-piston calipers. Although the workshop’s announcement does not mention the power increase, thanks to the stronger brakes, the Prius must produce a much better braking distance than the factory one.
Although there are weaker versions, this exterior is matched by the most powerful version of the fifth-generation hybrid drive, which can also be charged from a power outlet. In it, a 2.0-liter gasoline engine operating according to the Atkinson cycle, electric motor(s) and a 13.6 kWh lithium-ion battery make up the hybrid system. Its combined output is 223 horsepower, and the 0-100 acceleration time is just 6.7 seconds.
Although the average Toyota Prius buyer would not choose such an extreme exterior, there are certainly owners who want such a striking hybrid in their garage.
