CUPRA Leon Sportstourer JE Design

The SEAT León is a compact car that has a high-performance version both in its five-door model and in the more familiar option. The CUPRA León Sportstourer is one of the references of its category, available in different mechanical versions, including two PHEV, which offer greater versatility and a large luggage volume with great performance.

However, for many it is not enough, that's why the Germans at JE Design decided to pay special attention to this model that now will really satisfy them, with CUPRA showing what a true sports wagon should look like. The specialist took the 'Widebody RS' package out of his sleeve, which is characterized by having a revised front bumper, now with a three-piece spoiler with the center adjustable, so that it allows to increase the aerodynamic load on the front axle in a competition setting.

The side air intakes direct the air flow to the brakes, in addition to having aerodynamic winglets that create a kind of air curtain around the vehicle. The side skirts join the extra-dimensioned wheel arches housing large 19-inch light-alloy wheels shod with 255/30 R19 tyres. The package also reaches the rear, containing diffuser fins and a four-way exhaust.

JE Design, aware that a station wagon like the CUPRA León SportsTourer is also used with trailers, offers a rear diffuser between the exhaust pipes that can be removed with a 'click' system. The tuner also optimized the suspension, lowering the body height by 20 millimeters at the front and 10 millimeters at the rear, thanks to springs compatible with the ‘DCC’ adaptive suspension. One of the highlights is an exhaust system with oval tips that reinforce the new look and with electronic fins that vary the engine sound by pressing a button on the panel.

The second highlight, and the most outstanding one, is the extra power that the CUPRA León Sportstourer VZ receives. The 2.0 TSI gasoline engine that delivers a maximum power of 310 hp and 400 Nm of torque has been revised to increase performance up to a tremendous 370 hp and 450 Nm that is digested through the 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and the 4Drive all-wheel drive system . A true monster for which its price has not been revealed. Those interested can contact JE Design directly, but it won't be cheap.
