HONDA e:Ny1: NA REALIDADE UM HONDA HR-V 100% ELÉTRICO E COM MUITAS MUDANÇAS

Honda e:Ny1 - the Japanese brand's commitment to the electrified SUV segment

After the 'failure' of the Honda e, which due to its high price was not very successful although its design has enchanted many people, Honda presents its second completely electric vehicle, the Honda e:Ny1.

It is the brand's second 100% electric vehicle to hit the market and was designed to meet the growing demand from customers for all-electric SUVs in the B segment.

An exterior aesthetic that is similar to that of the new HR-V, but with a renewed focus and highlighted by a short front overhang, large wheels and a generous track width. The e:Ny1 also debuts a new identity for Honda's electric vehicles, with the 'H' emblem, including the front, wheel hub caps and steering wheel in white. In addition, a new typography for the word 'Honda' on the tailgate, which will be used on future brand electric vehicles, gives it a more premium look.

The center console features a simple layout of easily accessible buttons, multiple storage and charging options for induction phones, while a flat panel topped off by a large 15.1-inch touchscreen allows access to a full suite of infotainment and driving options.

The e:Ny1 is based on Honda's new e:N Architecture F, a front-engined platform that focuses on three key attributes: a specific high-rigidity body structure, a low center of gravity, and aerodynamics at the front. carefully managed undercarriage to ensure the SUV is fun to drive and inspires confidence.

In addition, the platform integrates a lightweight three-in-one package consisting of a high-performance power unit, an electric motor and a transmission. This unit generates a maximum power of 150 kW (204 hp) and 310 Nm of torque, and is designed to offer smooth and comfortable acceleration and deceleration. On the floor is a high-capacity lithium-ion battery that provides 412 km (WLTP) of range and a fast DC charge capacity that can go from 10 to 80% in just 45 minutes.

A completely new chassis, developed specifically for battery electric vehicles, has improved torsional rigidity, for which high-strength steel, used in 47% of the e:Ny1's bodywork (by weight), was key. Together with the new platform and powertrain, these elements combine to deliver the dynamic performance, exceptional comfort and refinement that drivers have come to expect from Honda's latest electric vehicle.
