PIRELLI

The first exercise bike made by Pirelli in partnership with Ciclotte

The first model born from the collaboration between the two companies debuts in Milan, on the occasion of the Fuorisalone 2023 event.

What's the first thing you think of when you hear the name Pirelli. Probably with the tires produced by the Italian brand, which is also the official tire supplier for the Formula 1 World Cup.

Now, the Italian tire manufacturer, in collaboration with Ciclotte, presents a motorcycle inspired by motorsport. The first Pirelli brand Ciclotte bike was made by Multi Design. The bike was presented during the Milan Design Week. This design version of the exercise bike inaugurates the collaboration between the two Italian companies and is characterized by elements derived from motorsport.

The Ciclotte bicycle, designed by Luca Schieppati, is distinguished from traditional exercise bikes by several distinct elements, starting with the unique shape of the wheel. The manufacturer says that this bike “was designed to faithfully reproduce the feeling of pedaling a road bike”. This must be guaranteed by a multi-ratio transmission, an electromagnetic resistance system, a frame that can flex laterally with each pedal stroke, and a narrow space between the pedals, like a racing bike.

Not only does the bike replicate the feeling you get when pedaling, it also has some cool features. For example, it has Bluetooth connectivity and training programs, spinning classes and multi-user challenges. The Ciclotte Bike offers an ergonomic shape and a carbon and steel construction.

The Pirelli edition of Ciclotte Bike stands out for its special graphics that reflect the appearance of tires used in Formula 1, whose only supplier is Pirelli. They come in five colours, just like a real race weekend: white 'hard tyre', yellow 'medium tyre', red 'soft tyre' and green and blue for 'rain'. For the first time, the Ciclotte will also have rubber grips for better grip during practice.
