LEXUS APRESENTA A NOVA LINHA LC 2024 COM MELHORIAS NOS EMBLEMÁTICOS LC COUPE E LC CABRIO

Significant enhancements have been introduced for the 2024 lineup of flagship LC models

In addition to improvements in the ambience, comfort and functionality of the passenger compartment, the driving experience has also been intensified.

Changes were introduced in all versions of the 2024 Lexus LC. From the LC 500 Coupe to the LC 500 Cabrio, both models equipped with a 5.0-liter aspirated V8 engine, passing through the efficient LC 500h Coupe, which incorporates its self-charging hybrid engine 3.5 liter V6.

New multimedia system and connectivity functions...For the 2024 version, the Lexus LC will feature a new multimedia system that has a larger screen, simpler to use, with greater functionality and that responds even more quickly to the user's needs.

Instead of the previous system's 10-inch screen, operated via Remote Touch controls on the center console, it now incorporates a new 12.3-inch high-definition touchscreen. To improve its ease of use, the screen is now 86 mm closer to the driver.

An additional function of the multimedia system is voice recognition, through which the driver and front passenger can formulate instructions to the on-board assistant “Hey Lexus”. The system can respond to around 100 different instructions (depending on the model); for example, to control the climate control, search the internet and connect phone calls. Up to three different users can store their personalized system settings for navigation, audio, driving position and safety alerts.

On the other hand, smartphones can be integrated via Apple CarPlay with a wireless or cable connection and Android Auto with a cable connection. In addition, using the Lexus Link smartphone app, the doors can be locked and unlocked remotely, and the air conditioning and heating can be adjusted before reaching the vehicle.

Another additional feature is the cloud navigation system, with road and traffic information in real time, which makes it easier to plan routes and recalculate routes if necessary. Other useful information related to the route can also be accessed in the cloud, such as fuel prices and parking in each area, through “Hey Lexus”. If you don't have a cloud connection, there's a navigation system integrated into the touchscreen.

With the removal of Remote Touch from the center console, the commands were reorganized, adopting a longitudinal layout that is easier to use. The console also incorporates an aluminum-finished rotary control to control the sound equipment (complemented by touchscreen controls), which are easily accessed by occupants of the front seats. In the console's rear storage space is a 12-volt power outlet for accessories, a USB C port for charging devices, and a USB A port for playing high-definition sound sources.

To reproduce sound in high definition, the speakers on the backrests of the rear seats and on the sides of the instrument panel were changed. The model features a 13-speaker Mark Levinson surround sound system as standard, comparable to high-end home audio equipment.

Two new interior color combinations...The cabins of the Lexus LC Cabrio and Lexus LC Coupe are also offered in a two-tone blue and white color combination that conveys elegance and spaciousness, as well as a garnet red color pattern. , which creates a more sporty environment. The blue and white combination incorporates blue accents on the steering wheel, gearshift knob, lower door moldings and front door sills. While the garnet red option plays with the contrast between a dark black tone mixed with intense red on the seats, on the center console, on the instrument panel and on the lower part of the door handles.

The cabin of the LC incorporates other new details: the middle area of the panel on the passenger side, previously made of acrylic material, now has the same finish as the instrument panel; there are now new options for seat material, and the door sills on models like the Sport and Bespoke are crafted from lightweight carbon fibre.

New paint and wheel options...Two new body paint colors have been introduced for the Coupe and Cabrio models. The Electric Blue color, an intense and pure blue with powerful reflections and contrasting tones that give the LC's beautiful bodywork greater depth. And the recently launched shade Cooper Sonic, a chromatic color with a reddish hue in the sun, which intensifies when the light falls.

Another important modification affects the outer mirror housings, which now incorporate a camera as standard on all Lexus LC models, which is part of the Panoramic View Monitor - PVM. In addition, redesigned mirror housings further reduce wind noise and suppress wind separation for improved aerodynamics.

All models now offer new 21-inch forged wheels as standard. They are offered in a 3D machined and bitone finish in black, or in a unique gloss black finish.

The Lexus Safety System offers more functions...For all Lexus LC models, more features have been added to the Lexus Safety System, which helps prevent accidents and reinforces the driver's position.

The Pre-Collision Safety System - PCS, Pre-Collision System, which previously already detected vehicles and pedestrians in front of the vehicle, now also has daytime detection of cyclists. Turn Assist at Intersections helps the driver to make safer left and right turns at intersections. Emergency Assisted Steering, when activated, sends small automatic corrections to the steering wheel to help prevent involuntary lane departures. Traffic Sign Recognition can quickly restore vehicle speed from speed limitation information. For its part, Cruise Control with dynamic radar, which regulates the vehicle's speed depending on what is driving ahead, now incorporates a curve speed reduction function, which automatically adjusts the vehicle's speed depending on the radius of the curve. .

Greater refinement behind the wheel...The Lexus LC heralded the birth of the 'Lexus Driving Signature', or Lexus driving characteristic, which emphasizes the importance of achieving a direct connection between driver and vehicle. This philosophy has since been applied in the development of other Lexus models, and was strictly adhered to when updating the LC to its 2024 version.

Changes were made to the suspension coil springs; in the adjustment of the dampers; on the rear suspension elements; in the flexibility of the stabilizers; on the underbody supports; fixing the steering column and transmission; and fixing the wheel hub bearings. The front engine mounts were also revised, and the gap between engine and body movement was reduced. The result of these improvements is greater steering response and a more intense feeling of contact with the pavement.

On the other hand, the brake system has been readjusted so that braking is more natural and uniform. In addition, the 10-speed automatic transmission's shift control has been improved to better predict the driver's intentions in D mode. The automatic transmission also now offers sportier dynamic characteristics in SPORT S and SPORT S modes, with SPORT S mode being which offers a more D-like experience than a manual transmission as it selects gear for optimal acceleration and deceleration and downshifts when braking.

To further improve dynamic performance, the LC 500h Coupe's lithium-ion battery, which is part of the Multi-Stage Hybrid System, now features higher capacity cells. The result is faster power delivery, which improves response and intensifies the feeling of acceleration.
