The largest Transit will also be renewed for 2024

Ford is moving fast with the renewal of its European commercial vehicle range, the Connect has switched to a VW base, the following Custom and Courier models have already been shown, and now thanks to the Chinese partner JMC, we can get to know the updated version of the large Transit (V363). The appearance is made similar to the new models, the shape of the new radiator grille and the headlights that frame it are exactly similar to the Ranger (the model is also distributed in the United States, it is the “family face” there), the size of the unpainted black inserts on the body is increased.

For the updated Transit 1-Ton model, the availability of the battery-electric drive will be expanded, it will now be available as a passenger transporter, there is no information about changes in the technical content, the appearance is made unique by the walled-in radiator grille. 

In China, the model gets a new diesel engine, the 2.3-liter 4-cylinder with 171 HP/430 Nm, which drives the rear wheels through an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. We don’t know what changes there will be in the European (2.0-liter turbodiesel, battery-electric drive) or North American (3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost) engine range.
