VW Passat 2024 at the Nurburgring test
Tests continue on Volkswagen passat. The new generation will be sold exclusively as a station wagon (as a model similar to the Passat sedan, however, there will be the electric ID.7), with a style in line with the latest models of the Wolfsburg House and even more efficient engines.
In the new sighting, the Passat “practices” at the Nurburgringthe usual testing ground for most of the new European cars, even those that are not purely sports.
As already seen in previous spy photos, the Passat now appears ready for presentation. The bodywork has definitive shapes, with the sole exception of the front and rear where there are still stickers to camouflage the real appearance of the car. The impression is that Volkswagen has a step slightly longer and with a wider track to offer even more space on board and further precision in trim.
In any case, to get an idea of what the new German family will be like, we show you our render, which is based on the various rumors collected in recent months.
Developed on an updated version of the MQB modular platform (the MQB Evo), the Passat will be produced in the Bratislava plant, where the next generation of the Skoda Superb will also be born, with the two cars sharing various technical solutions.
Don’t abandon the diesel...Under the bonnet, important innovations are expected, with the adoption of new petrol and diesel units, probably also in good shape mild hybrid. The versions will also be revised ibride plug-inwhich could mount a larger battery (perhaps 26 kWh), for an electric journey that could be close to 100 km.
However, we won’t have to wait long to discover the new Passat live. Volkswagen deliveries will start at September 2023with the possible presentation that should take place by the end of the summer.
