ROLLS-ROYCE WRAITH BLACK ARROW: MARCA BRITÂNICA REVELA O SEU ÚLTIMO V12 COUPE

Black Badge Wraith Black Arrow: the last of the Mohicans

Rolls-Royce has unveiled its latest V12-powered coupe in the form of the limited edition Black Badge Wraith Black Arrow. It is a limited edition of 12 units, and of course, all of them are already sold.

This special edition features a gradient exterior color that changes from Celebration Silver at the front to Black Diamond at the rear. To accompany, there are details in yellow, in addition to a layer of glass finish that has applications in black. The colors and decor were tweaked over a year and a half, making this one of the most complex color schemes in the entire history of the Goodwood brand.

The colors of this Black Arrow are inspired by the Thunderbolt, a model equipped with two V12 engines, which broke a speed record from the 1930s, reaching 575 km/h, in Bonneville, in the United States. Its polished aluminum bodywork made it difficult to see in the salt flats, so a large black arrow with a yellow circle was painted on the side of this record-breaking car. Thus, the new Black Arrow brings details in yellow on the bumpers, wheels and grille, as well as a circle in the same color below the Spirit of Ecstasy symbol.

As for the interior, there are more details in yellow on the front seats, steering wheel, dashboard and door lining. Also noteworthy is a special clock also decorated in yellow, in addition to the record broken by Thunderbolt in 1938. Likewise, the yellow tone serves as a contrast on the rear seats and on the door sills, where it displays the inscription relating to the number of units of this Wraith special edition.

This model features a new Club leather upholstery, which is used on both the yellow and black surfaces, including the headliner – made up of 2117 small fiber optic lights that replicate the Bonneville sky. The steering wheel is patterned with a black mesh on top of the rim, mimicking the pattern of grains of salt on the aforementioned record track.

Under the hood of this special Rolls-Royce Wraith is a twin-turbo V12 engine with 624 hp, also with a special yellow decoration on the lid.
