Pecco Bagnaia ha acabado el test Portimao MotoGP 2023 como el más rápido

Bagnaia earns its first in the Algarve

The Italian Francesco Bagnaia won the two victories, in the sprint and in the regular race of the Portuguese GP, and started the 2023 season with the maximum points this weekend: 37. With the number 1 on the Ducati bike, he commanded the race all after taking the lead on the second lap.

Pecco still had to deal with attacks from Maverick Viñales at the start of the race, but as the laps went by he managed to open the Aprilia and confirm a quiet victory.

VIñales took second place, with Marco Bezzecchi in third – claiming his second podium in MotoGP.

The home rider, Miguel Oliveira, started the race well leading the pack. However, after being passed by Pecco Bagnaia, he was the victim of a big mistake by Marc Márquez, who missed the brakes at turn 3 and hit the Portuguese head-on before still swerving past Jorge Martín. Oliveira was attended to at the scene, however he returned to the pits alone.

A beautiful dispute for fourth place was won by Johann Zarco, who overcame the two KTMs and Alex Márquez on the last lap, achieving a good result. Márquez had to settle for fifth, ahead of Brad Binder and Jack Miller.

After once again having a bad start, Fabio Quartararo only managed to recover to eighth place. Aleix Espargaró was ninth and Álex Rins 10th.

The race had six retirements. In addition to Márquez and Oliveira, we had crashes by Luca Marini, Jorge Martín, Raul Fernandez and a retirement by Fabio di Giannantonio in the pits.

The next stage of MotoGP takes place next week in Argentina.
