Brand autonomous cars can turn off engine and systems such as air conditioning and even return to dealers alone if the owner does not pay their debts

The American Ford works on a project, according to details of Car and Driver magazine, a system that allows brand cars to return to stores alone, in case of non-payment of their owners' debts.

The system, activated from a distance, allows the car to "abandon the owner", and thus drive himself to the owner's house. Depending on the debt situation, the car can return to the dealership alone, until the installments are paid.

This system is not new to the automaker. Data from the United States Brands and Patent Office show that Ford registered this patent in 2021, but only now has he responded. In this way, only then can you proceed with development.

But it is important to say that the system, which will work in Ford autonomous and semi -autonomous cars, does not resume the vehicle for any reason. Alerts reach the driver and, if they do not generate response, can turn off important items, such as air conditioning, radio and electric windows. Depending on the case, the engine will also be turned off.

In fact, if the repurchase value is not enough to cover the debt, the car may even go on its own for a junkyard. However, technology is still far from reality. It is still necessary to advance the improvement of autonomous systems, so that only then can it be possible to resume vehicles with no one behind the wheel. That is, for a long time until Ford cars return to the dealers for non -payment.
