Record sales and almost double profit from 2021

The year 2022 turned out to be very good for Bentley by all accounts, the British luxury builder scoring some excellent results across the board. Without a doubt, Bentley’s management also wants better sales figures from 2023 than the previous year.

A little while ago, Bentley announced that it has set a new sales record in 2022, managing to sell 15,174 cars globally. As expected, the Bentayga was the best-selling model in the British manufacturer’s range, with Bentley’s SUV accounting for no less than 42% of total sales last year, according to Engine1.

Bentley is now also publishing the financial results obtained in 2022, and these are not inferior either, on the contrary. More precisely, the people from Bentley announce a record in this regard as well, obtaining an operating profit worth 708 million euros. Under these conditions, we are talking about a doubling of the profit obtained a year ago. Specifically, 2022 profit increased by 82% compared to 2021.

From huge losses to record profits...Fortunately, Bentley’s strategy has paid off in recent years, with the British manufacturer’s financial situation changing radically. In 2018, Bentley reported operating losses of 288 million euros. In 2019, things improved, the profit being 65 million euros. After a period of crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the profit recorded by Bentley has increased spectacularly, now reaching over 700 million euros.

The most important point in Bentley’s strategy referred to the launch of exclusive models closer to the wishes of customers. Their sales exceeded all expectations, and the positive financial results were not long in coming!
