AUDI CONFIRMA QUE ESTÁ TRABALHANDO EM UM SUBSTITUTO ELÉTRICO PARA O A3

Model A3 will receive an electrified replacement before 2027

Audi has confirmed that the A3 will receive an all-electric replacement before 2027. It will have around 640 kilometers of range and will become the Ingolstadt brand's gateway electric car.

The fourth generation of the Audi A3 will be the last with a combustion engine. Audi wants to take advantage of the debut of its natural renewal to introduce a new electric vehicle whose name is not yet known.

The British at Autocar had advanced in mid-2022 that the next A3 would be electric, but now Audi has hinted that it will be a completely different model.

Audi chief technology officer Oliver Hoffman confirmed last week that Audi "will offer an A-segment car below the Q4 and comparable to the A3".

Its launch will take place in 2027, exactly one year after the presentation of the last Audi with a combustion engine. From 2027, all new launches by the company will be exclusively electric.

Logically, it will start from the electrical architecture SSP - Scalable Systems Platform, which will debut in 2024 and which will end up becoming hegemonic throughout the Volkswagen Group.

This electrification will have a direct impact on another model in the lineup, the Audi RS 3, which will also receive an all-electric replacement under the e-tron nomenclature.
