Volkswagen increases prices of its gasoline models in Germany

“Even Volkswagen cannot escape high inflation. Although we are working as much as possible with long -term contracts, hedge transactions and efficiency gains, the cost effect cannot be fully offset, ”the company added.

Increases prices in Germany ... Apparently, the price of a basic VW polo will increase 905 euros, an increase of 4.5%. Similarly, the Golf price will increase € 1,585, 5.36% more expensive. And the T-ROC will cost 1,455 euros, 5.98% more expensive, and Artoon Shooting Brake will cost 42,270 euros, an increase of 4.38%. The new prices will come into force on February 23, informs Automobile Week.

Many dealers have expressed concern about pricing and suggested that Volkswagen reduce prices due to consumer uncertainty. A merchant said he was "amazed" at the price increase, noting that his sales fell.

"Orders received leave much to be desired," said Antje Woltermann of the German Motor Trade (ZDK) dealership and association. “Manufacturers need to consider if their prices are still in line with the market.”
