HURACÁN STO TIME CHASER_111100...As part of its 60th anniversary, Automobili Lamborghini has prepared a series of events and celebrations throughout 2023, under the motto ‘The future began in 1963’. One of these acts took place this week in Japan, on Lamborghini Day Japan, in Suzuka and, for the occasion, Lamborghini and Japanese artist Ikeuchi teamed up to transform a Huracán STO Time Chaser_111100.

The Italian brand has created an artistic platform to explore, in all its forms, the fundamental values of Lamborghini that have always distinguished it in the past, in the present and also as a reference for the future. This first Japanese collaboration was performed in Tokyo together with Ikeuchi.

The project, named 'Chasing the Future', encompasses two creations, the 'Tomer Gazer' and the 'Huracán STO Time Chaser_111100'.

Both projects make the most of the common themes that are shared by Lamborghini and Ikeuchi, such as the concepts of 'time' and 'timelessness'. On the one hand, the Time Gazer was built using original Lamborghini parts and represents a large-scale work of art intended to encapsulate the artist's vision of the past, present and future through the evolution of the Italian brand.

On the other hand, the Lamborghini Huracán STO Time Chaser_111100 is a one-off that expresses Ikeuchi's theme of cybernetics and Lamborghini's 60 years of history, encompassing the shared values of always being at the forefront of the times and breaking the rules of the past through a creative and authentic expression. The name 111100 refers to the binary code for the number 60.

Ikeuchi burst onto the art scene in the early part of the last decade, and has since attracted worldwide attention and started collaborating with renowned brands and other influential artists. Inspired by cyberpunk and robotic anime, the Japanese artist combines plastic models with industrial product parts to create a vision of the future complete with conventional functionality.

Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini, was delighted with the project: “We are very proud to present this work of art together with Ikeuchi in this memorable year of our 60th anniversary. The Lamborghini Huracán STO Time Chaser_111100 combines tradition and innovation, past and future, and perfectly embodies the values of Lamborghini.”

For his part, the Japanese artist acknowledged feeling “very honored to collaborate with a brand like Lamborghini within the scope of its 60th anniversary” and explained that “the Time Gazer and Time Chaser were created incorporating original parts of models from previous anniversaries and are meant to be a celebration of Lamborghini history from the past with the aim of living longer in the future as well.”
