GM Montana: the new sub-pickup debuts on the Brazilian market with four trim versions

The new Montana starts arriving at Chevrolet dealerships across the country from the third week of February. Considered the most anticipated commercial launch of 2023, the pick-up will be offered in four trim options. The novelty is due to the revelation of the entry versions, the 1.2 Turbo MT and the LT, since only the LTZ and Premier versions, the most sophisticated ones, had been presented until then.

The suggested price list as well as the list of equipment for each model are available on the brand's website. The values of the products offered in the pre-sale action, held in early December, were maintained. Customers who purchased the new Montana during that period, in addition to being the first to receive the car, gain an innovative accessory: the exclusive Multi-Board dividers, which help organize and accommodate the load in the bucket.

The great differential of the new Montana is that it unites the comfort and drivability of an SUV, with the robustness and versatility of a true pick-up. All this with the unprecedented proposal of the Multi-Flex intelligent bucket, designed to function as a kind of giant trunk. The vehicle also has an extensive line of customized accessories, which allow hundreds of solutions, including cargo transport, in a combination that no other type of car offers.

One of the strategic differentials of the new Montana is that it delivers, from the entry version, its most advanced package of technologies: high-performance and energy-efficient 1.2-litre turbo engine, 6 airbags (front, side and curtain), automatic headlights, in addition to full connectivity. Here, the highlight is the 8.0-inch MyLink with wireless projection for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, native Wi-Fi, OnStar, remote updates of electronic systems and an application to control vehicle functions remotely.

The new Montana was developed based on opinion polls and market trends, which allowed the design of a product that is much more connected with the needs and desires of the modern consumer, who seeks not only a pick-up for work or leisure. , but also to serve as the family's day-to-day car, even those who live in large urban centers.

The new Montana is also the pick-up with the best fuel economy in the category, associated with excellent performance. According to Inmetro data, the 6-speed manual model travels with gasoline 13.6 km/l on the road and 12 km/l in the city, while with ethanol the numbers are 9.6 km/l and 8.3 km/l, respectively. That's why it's grade A in energy efficiency by Conpet. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is done in 11.7s, and the resumption from 80 to 120 km/h, in 12.2s.

The 6-speed automatic version brings equally amazing performance. The model in this configuration travels with gasoline 13.3 km/l on the road and 11.1 km/l in the city, while with ethanol the numbers are 9.3 km/l and 7.7 km/l, respectively. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is done in just 10.1s, and the resumption from 80 to 120 km/h, in 8.3s, showing great agility also in overtaking manoeuvres.

With production concentrated in GM's recently updated industrial complex in São Caetano do Sul, the new Montana arrives to be the most expressive volume product within Chevrolet's pick-up portfolio, today composed of the S10 and, soon, also by Silverado. Each of them has a complementary size and purpose. One of the brand's great strategic differentials is the tradition of success in the segment, in addition to a strong and widespread network of dealerships in the country.
