Automotive complex in Brazil offers the Goodyear Check Point service to accurately assess all truck tire conditions

Tires are among the items that most impact truck costs. Therefore, taking care of care and improving tire management is essential in order not to lose money. With an eye on this, Rede Zé Pneus, a Goodyear dealer in Rio Grande do Sul, inaugurated an automotive complex in Nova Santa Rita that offers a complete analysis of tire health. According to the company, the service is aimed at self-employed truck drivers and small fleet owners.

Thus, the service called Goodyear Check Point(image above) accurately assesses all the conditions of the truck's tires. For this, it uses a platform equipped with sensors and cameras. As a result, you can accurately measure the depth of grooves, for example. As well as the pressure and weight per axle and the total of the vehicle. According to the manufacturer, the measurement result comes out in a few seconds.

Until then, Goodyear offered Check Point in Brazil to only three large fleet owners. Now, the goal is to extend the service to those who have a single vehicle or a small fleet. According to the operations director of Grupo Zé Pneus, Marcos Hernandes, this is the first service point in Latin America available to this public.

In any case, Hernandes explains that the solution helps truck drivers to better manage truck costs. "Furthermore, is it possible to prevent the risk of accidents and reduce the wear of components?, he says. As a result, it is possible to manage tires better and reduce the cost of operating the truck. Soon, Goodyear intends to increase the number service points in the country.

In addition to the checkpoint, the Zé Pneus automotive complex offers several other services. There are retreading and tire distribution centers, for example. While waiting, the truck driver can have a meal at the existing steakhouse on site. According to the company, the facilities occupy 13,500 m² and are the result of investments of R$ 20 million.

According to the director of the Tire Business Unit for heavy vehicles at Goodyear do Brasil, Eduardo Gualberto, the new center will make life easier for truck drivers. ?Extending the useful life of the tire helps to reduce costs?, he says.
