TIFFANY & Co
Tiffani & Co has released two car-inspired watches as part of its Time for Speed collection. Neither of these two watches is cheap.
Each of the two watches is inspired by racing cars from the 1950s. They have real stainless steel wheels with rubber tires.
The time is displayed in five-minute increments on a stainless steel hatch on the side of the car.
Positioned in the cockpit, where the driver normally sits, is a large glass-domed clockwork mechanism.
The watch's interesting features continue with a refrigerator-style grille bearing the Tiffani & Co logo, and on the hood is a large "five" representing the company's flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York.
Timing can be adjusted by turning the three-spoke steering wheel counterclockwise, while the movement is wound by pulling the car backwards on a flat surface.
The Tiffani & Co watch is made primarily of aluminum and features the company's famous Tiffany blue hue. It weighs 4.6 kg.
It is also interesting that two variants of the watch were developed. The less expensive of the two models is available for $40,000 on the company's website, while the more expensive model costs $215,000 because it contains lots of round brilliants and diamonds.
