Grand Cherokee Dakar ''Motul'': a tribute to the 45th anniversary of the Dakar Rally and the fifth consecutive year of the French company as official sponsor
Motul is a French oil and lubricant company, founded in 1853. To celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Dakar Rally and its fifth consecutive year as official lubricant sponsor of the competition, it has just presented a Jeep Grand Cherokee inspired by the Dakar.
This Jeep Grand Cherokee is equipped with a custom lift, making it the first Grand Cherokee to install the raised WS platform. In addition, it features decor inspired by the Dakar rally, created by Sticky Fingers Design from Huntington Beach, California.
Further modifications will be added later, such as an Area BFE Black Series rigid aluminum tent, a refrigerator, a Gobi Racks Stealth rack and a rear ladder.
The Dakar-inspired Jeep Grand Cherokee is powered by a 5.7-litre V8 Hemi engine. Custom enhancements include a 9-inch ReadyLIFT suspension kit from the fifth-generation RAM 1500, conveniently modified and installed by Rad Rides of Huntington Beach, Calif., along with custom-built two-inch rear spacers.
In addition, the Grand Cherokee Dakar includes 18 x 8.5-inch CHASE matte black wheels, signed by Black Rhino Wheels and shod in BFGoodrich 35 x 12.5 R18 All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires. Additionally, RIGd Supply provided an UltraSwing Multi-Adjustable Spare Wheel Hitch Bracket for rear spare tire storage.
The car will participate in numerous local off-road and desert racing events throughout 2023, such as the BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 (March 8-12), Overland Expo West (May 19-21), Overland Expo Mountain West (August 25-27) and the eBay Motors Sand Sports Super Show (September 15-17).
