Chinese brand presents electric truck with the face of Tesla Semi

With an aerodynamic cabin in the style of the Tesla Semi, JAC Motors introduced a new electric truck in China. The model was made by brand engineers in partnership with Lionbridge (financial services division) and Baidu (online search giant). The truck has two electric motors from Suzhou Green Control. Each develops power of 246 kW, equivalent to 330 hp. Lithium iron phosphate batteries power the set.

Furthermore, the truck weighs 11 tons and is capable of pulling 38 tons. In addition, according to the JAC, it reaches a range of 300 km.

Design...What immediately draws attention is the look of the new electric truck, with a format very similar to that of the Tesla Semi. Despite this, the Chinese truck looks smaller than the competitor from Elon Musk's brand. In this sense, there is a wide glazed front area. And the lines seem to privilege aerodynamics, as well as in the North American model. In any case, the Chinese manufacturer has not shown how it is on board the vehicle.

According to JAC Motors do Brasil, there is still no additional information about the vehicle, but it is a concept truck. That is, for now there is no plan to import the model to Brazil, for example. Here, the automaker already has a wide range of electric vehicles. It is the manufacturer that sells the most electric trucks, including the iEV 1200T model. From its launch in 2021 until now, it has sold more than 600 units.
