The GAC Aion Hyper GT sports car debuted at the Guangzhou Motor Show. The car stands out for its bodywork: the aerodynamic drag coefficient Cd is just 0.19 - less than the record (at the time) of 0.2 Cd for the Merecedes-Benz EQS.
The second brand below is no less famous - Lamborghini. The front door of the car has approximately the same opening kinematics as the front door - upwards and slightly to the side. At the same time, the rear doors (GAC Aion Hyper GT is a coupe sedan) open normally.
Another body feature: the GAC Aion Hyper GT is the world's first car with a fully enclosed front. However, in the lower part of the bumper there are left and right air intakes, which at high speed open like shutters, thereby reducing resistance to the oncoming air flow and increasing downforce. Therefore, it also serves a small anti-wing, which stretches at a speed of more than 80 km/h.
The GAC Aion Hyper GT will be available in several versions: all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive only. So far, the second version is presented with a power plant with a capacity of 340 hp and acceleration to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. In the simplest version, one lidar will be installed on the roof of the sports car, in the top version there will be three lidars. There are as many as 39 different sensors in total, they should provide the third level of autonomy. The cost of GAC Aion Hyper GT is about 50 thousand dollars. The full premiere should happen later, but pre-orders are already being accepted.
