YADEA Keeness VFD. La primera motocicleta de la marca

Keeness VFD...The Chinese giant YADEA Global, world leader in two-wheeled electric mobility (13.9 million units sold in 2021), has presented two innovative high-end electric mobility proposals, with which it breaks into the segments of: high-performance motorcycle (10 kW) and high-wheel scooter with great autonomy (200 km) to revolutionize electric mobility.

These are two pre-series that will go into production in 2023.

KEENESS VFD...The Keeness VFD, the brand's first motorcycle, will take on our urban landscapes with all of YADEA's knowledge of engineering, build quality and reliability.

Equipped with a central engine of the company, with a maximum power of 10 kW and powered by two removable batteries of 2.3 kWh each, it is positioned as a "125 cc equivalent".

Taking the current aesthetic codes of motorcycles with a sporty trend, it is supported by a chassis as serious as it is rigorous, with a double-beam steel structure, bent aluminum swingarm that activates a hydraulic monoshock, inverted fork, 17-inch wheels with 100/ 80 front and 130/70 rear, as well as a coupled braking system (CBS; ABS will soon be offered as an option) equipped with a front disc that shows no less than 300 mm.

Aimed mainly at young beginners, the Keeness has an overall geometry that favors both ease of handling and driving pleasure, but does not forget some practical aspects, such as a generous trunk located on the "false" tank (the two removable batteries are placed on the bottom of this trunk), a clear and readable LCD instrument cluster, a full LED lighting system, and a comfortable passenger seat.

Its modern and dynamic lines, underlined by a rather aggressive front end and enhanced by a short rear shell with a deported plate support, bring a breath of fresh air to the world of electric street bikes without being too exuberant. YADEA's technological mastery is shown in power management, the novice can easily find its management, as well as the more experienced who will benefit from performances far superior to a 125 cc equivalent, in particular thanks to the immediately available torque of 280 no.

And thanks to the capacity of the 4.6 kWh batteries, YADEA announces up to 140 km of autonomy (at 45 km/h), a value that can be increased with the energy recovery system (during braking, for example). Finally, using the dedicated application, the user will be able to check the state of charge of the batteries.

 Batteries. 2 high capacity 2.3 kWh ternary lithium batteries (2 x 72V 32Ah). Removable (weight of only 14 kg, 20% lighter than usual).

 Engine. Maximum power of 10 kW; nominal power 5.5 kW, designed to minimize vibration and noise. Torque at the rear wheel of 280 Nm.

 Top speed of 100 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 50 km/h in 4 seconds.

 Great autonomy of up to 140 km when driving at a constant speed of 45 km/h. But thanks to its hybrid kinetic energy recovery system, the batteries recharge during deceleration or downhill, significantly extending your range.

Double LED lens for short and long beam. The low beam can illuminate a distance of 30 meters with a width of 16 meters, while the high beam can reach a distance of 110 meters.

 The combined front and rear braking system (CBS) uses large size discs (300mm front/240mm rear).

 Clean and modern lines. Inspired by aeronautics, it evokes fluidity, speed, performance, precision and agility. With a compact design, it highlights the purity of its shapes and its taut lines.
