KIA STINGER TRIBUTE EDITION: FIM DA LINHA PARA O SEDAN ESPORTIVO COREANO

KIA Stinger Tribute Edition...After many rumors about its demise, the KIA Stinger is approaching the end of its life cycle. The Tribute Edition serves as a farewell to this gran turismo, which according to the Korean manufacturer will be indirectly replaced by the EV6 GT.

This special version can be purchased in the new matte Moonscape gray color or in the existing Ascot green. The mirror housings, the 19-inch alloy wheels and the Brembo brake calipers are black.

Opening the doors, the Tribute Edition reveals its individually numbered sills and terracotta brown leather upholstery. That same material covers the door panels, door handles and steering wheel. Some areas even display moldings that imitate carbon fiber.

Another interesting detail reserved for this Stinger is the wasp emblem embedded in the headrests, and of course, specific components are not lacking in the sports sedan.

Logically, the chosen engine is the most powerful of the line, a 3.3 V6 biturbo block with 366 hp and 510 Nm, coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission with torque converter and an AWD total traction system.

With the Tribute Edition, the Korean brand highlights that “the production of the innovative model comes to an end”. Only 1,000 will be made worldwide, and details on pricing and availability will be announced at a later date.

Without a doubt, it is very sad to have to say goodbye to the Stinger, considered by many to be the best KIA manufactured at the time of its launch in 2017. In fact, it was a worthy opponent for the Audi A5 Sportback and the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe.

Ultimately, between the craze for SUVs and the rollout of electrification in the auto world, the Stinger had a tough time surviving. It's a shame that cars like this are left behind.
