MANUFAKTURA LOTNICZA
The Argon GTL 915 can carry loads weighing up to 300 kg. The autogiro is already sold on the company's website, the price, depending on the configuration, is from 140,000 to 180,000 euros.
Unfortunately, autogyros have not been particularly damaged by the attention of aeronautical engineers in recent years. And in vain. This aircraft with two propellers, one (front or rear) providing horizontal thrust and the other, located on top, providing lift, creates lift due to the rotation of the oncoming airflow.
Compared to other aircraft, gyros are much cheaper, easier to control, do not fall into a corkscrew and can land even with the engine off. Also, they have very small take-off/landing platforms.
Engineers from Manufaktura Lotnicza (Poland) created a two-seat Argon GTL 915 autogyro weighing 305 kg with a 141 hp Rotax engine. With it, he develops a speed of up to 180 km/h and reaches a height of more than 7,000 m.
The body of the autogyro is made of fiberglass, and the fuel (common or aviation kerosene) is stored in two 60-liter tanks. If desired, additional suspended tanks can be installed on the device. Fuel consumption is 18 to 25 l/h. One refueling is enough for a six-hour flight.
