BENTLEY
Flying Spur 'The Surgeon' Hybrid
Art Basel Miami was the setting chosen for the unveiling of the Bentley Flying Spur 'The Surgeon' Hybrid. It is a highly customized Flying Spur created in collaboration with the creative shoe designer Dominic Ciambrone, also known precisely as 'The Surgeon'. The project is the work of collaboration between both brands.
Alongside the Flying Spur, you'll also see ten pairs of bespoke sneakers. This exclusive model is a one-off and is for sale, but we don't know the price. What we do know is that the buyer will get with the purchase a pair of 'Bentley x The Surgeon Adidas Forum Low' sneakers matching their new car.
The Bentley Flying Spur ‘The Surgeon’ Hybrid features a satin anthracite hue in combination with satin bronze accents. It's sinister to say the least, as even the 22-inch Satin Anthracite wheels with Satin Bronze rims have this finish. Added to this are the Mulliner Blackline Specification and Styling Specification packages.
Thanks to the latter, a front splitter, side skirts, a more sporty diffuser and a carbon fiber spoiler are added to the set. Icing on the cake on the exterior is the 'Surgeon' insignia on the D-pillars and the illuminated Flying B embellishment finished in Gloss Black. No less interesting is the interior, filled with white leather and walnut wood.
Featured on it are the laser-engraved skull and crossed scalpel logos. The upholstery features a 3D diamond design on the doors and contrasting satin bronze accents. Passengers are greeted by LED welcome lights that project the skull logo onto the ground. Nor are the lyrics 'The Surgeon' missing.
With an imperceptible blend of internal combustion engine and electric motor, the Bentley Flying Spur 'The Surgeon' Hybrid offers refined serenity whatever the mode or style of driving. The new powertrain combines a 2.9 liter V6 petrol engine with an advanced electric motor. It delivers a total of 544 hp and 750 Nm of torque.
Thanks to this, the new Flying Spur Hybrid becomes the most efficient Bentley, standing out for its ability to cover more than 700 km when fully charged. The advanced electronic engine is located between the transmission and the engine, delivering up to 136 hp and 400 Nm of torque.
The permanent magnet synchronous motor delivers full torque instantly for quiet acceleration from the start. It runs on a 14.1 kWh lithium-ion battery and can be charged to 100% in just two and a half hours. A dedicated button lets you control three driving modes: EV Drive, Hybrid Mode and Hold Mode.
