Pre-orders for Ranger Platinum are already happening in Europe. The start of production of this new version is scheduled for March 2023, with the delivery of the first units expected for the end of European spring.

The Most Luxurious Ranger Ever Made...The Ranger Platinum is exclusively available in a five-seat, double-cab specification, powered by Ford's 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel engine - the block also used in some luxury SUVs and the F-150 pick-up truck. in the USA - which delivers 240 hp and 600 Nm of torque. Power is delivered through Ranger's new electronically controlled permanent all-wheel drive system, combined with Ford's 10-speed automatic transmission with adaptive shift programming and redesigned mounts to reduce noise and vibration.

The result is refined, responsive and confident performance whatever the conditions, coupled with a generous maximum braked towable weight of 3,500 kg. The vehicle also offers the same exceptional load-carrying capacity as all other Ranger versions, including a payload in excess of one tonne.

The Ranger Platinum's exterior builds on the muscular, functional style of the Ranger family with a few extras in terms of sophistication. The new proposal is placed above the Wildtrak version, which represents 60% of Ranger pick-up sales in Europe.

A unique grille and new chrome finish applied to the Ranger Platinum's exterior accents help make a strong first impression, supported by new 20-inch alloy wheels with glossy ebony accents. Other quality details include a soft-close tailgate, tinted windows and signature daytime running lights integrated into the LED Matrix headlamps. Roof bars, offered as standard, add useful style and enhanced practicality.

Inside, the Ranger Platinum mixes a luxurious leather-lined cabin with smart technology designed to make life easier. Driver and front passenger benefit from premium quality padded, perforated leather seats with 10-way power adjustment, heating and cooling functions and elegant contrast stitching. Dark wood fixtures extend the opulent design, and sophisticated interior lighting helps create a relaxing atmosphere.

The high-tech interior is defined by two 12-inch screens: a full digital suite replaces the traditional instruments in front of the driver, joined by a vertically positioned touchscreen that controls Ford's powerful SYNC 4A infotainment system. The Ranger Platinum also features a B&O audio system with eight speakers and wireless charging for smartphones as standard. Powerful connectivity is served by the FordPass Connect modem, which allows various modules to be future-proofed wirelessly, via Ford Power-Up software updates, which can improve the vehicle's characteristics over time.

In addition to the comprehensive and advanced driver assistance systems already present on Ranger Wildtrak, the Platinum series adds Active Park Assist Systems with Park Out Assist and Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert, lane changing and a 360-degree camera all offered as standard equipment.

Widest Ranger pick-up line-up ever...The Platinum version tops the widest range of Ranger pick-up offerings ever offered by Ford Pro, joining the high-performance Raptor as well as the new generation Wildtrak and Limited versions that are already on sale, or the robust Ranger XL and XLT, with practical specifications to suit the more professional use - construction, forestry and emergency services, among others - that European customers can now order.
