ALPINE A110 R: SUGERIDO EM VÍDEO ANTES DE SUA APRESENTAÇÃO OFICIAL

A110 R: the most radical version of the Alpine family

The French rival of the Porsche 718 Cayman is about to present its most extreme version. Tomorrow, October 4th, the French brand will present the new A110 R, which they assure will be the most radical version of the family, and now they show the last advance before its presentation.

For now we know that the new Alpine A110 R will keep the same 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol engine that it shares with the A110 S and the Renault Mégane RS, and according to some previous teasers, it seems that the power will not change, staying at 300 hp and 340 Nm of maximum torque.

In any case, this new version of the line will be faster than all the others, as it promises an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, which means an improvement of three tenths over the A110 S.

We also know that the R reaches a top speed of 285 km/h, that is, 25 km/h more than the S, which reaches 260 km/h.

According to Renault's sports brand, this Alpine A110 R will be even lighter than the conventional versions, although it has not been specified in what proportion or what measures were taken to achieve it.

In any case, it is necessary to consider that the A110 is one of the lightest sports cars on the market, with a weight of around 1.1 tons, which varies depending on the level of equipment. To give you an idea, it has a weight similar to that of a Mazda MX-5, but its engine, in a central position, offers much more power.

It remains to be seen whether this A110 R represents a farewell to the combustion engine in Alpine's catalog, as from 2025 the company wants to become an electric car manufacturer exclusively.

The electric successor to the Alpine A110 is expected to arrive in 2026, on a platform jointly developed with Lotus, while one of its main competitors, the Porsche 718 Cayman, will switch to the electric side from 2025.
