HONDA PROLOGUE 2024: O PRIMEIRO SUV ELÉTRICO DA MARCA JAPONESA TEM BOA PINTA

SUV Prologue 2024 is already a reality in the USA

Designed by Honda Design Studio in Los Angeles, the 2024 Honda Prologue is now official. It will be located on the CR-V in the Japanese brand's product portfolio in the United States, alongside the Honda Passport. Although it may not seem like it, but in its guts it carries the Ultium platform developed by General Motors, the same architecture used in the Chevrolet Blazer EV and Cadillac Lyriq.

Aesthetically, it doesn't look like any of them at all. It measures 4,877 mm long, 1,989 mm wide and 1,643 mm high. The wheelbase reaches 3,094 mm. The front shows off a sculpted look, with the Honda family light cluster present. The waistline and side profile are well marked, with the roof that seems to slope towards the rear.

There is a charging socket in the front fender on the driver's side, while the lower part has a plastic coating. At the rear, the spoiler, the slim rear window and the omission of the traditional 'H' logo in favor of the word 'Honda' come together as in the Range Rover Evoque. Honda lettering has been styled to capture the Prologue's clean, modern design.

The 'Elite' badge on the rear likely refers to the equipment level, while the 'AWD' inscription reveals that the vehicle has a two-engine configuration. The exclusive North Shore Pearl exterior paintwork is inspired by Lake Tahoe, California. Nor do the 21-inch wheels that come standard go unnoticed.

Inside, the driver has a sunken steering wheel in front of an 11-inch tablet-style digital instrumentation. In the center console, there is a raised 11.3-inch screen for the infotainment system. As you can see, Prologue's controls are visually similar to those found on the CR-V and Civic.

The big difference is the traditional ventilation screens, instead of the continuous screen that both models present. For now, details on battery and motor options for the Prologue have not been revealed. What we do know is that Honda's next electric SUV will go on sale in 2024. Pricing and specific details will be revealed closer to launch.
