BMW X4 M40i BY DÄHLER: O PREPARADOR SUÍÇO LEVA O SUV ALEMÃO AOS 430 CV

Swiss specialist Dähler offers a package that takes the BMW X4 M40i to the next level

The undisputed king of BMW's X4 line is the M Competition version, capable of reaching 510 hp, but the second plate in the catalog, the X4 M40i, is also an interesting version, which as standard offers a respectable power of 306 hp. .

For all those customers who are not satisfied with the power of the M40i, the Swiss specialist Dähler offers a package of measures to raise this figure, in addition to aesthetic elements that alter the appearance of the German SUV in a remarkable way.

Like any self-respecting preparation, this work by Dähler starts with the bodywork. A completely new rear end stands out, with a new diffuser and four exhaust outlets, in this case available in a choice of silver or gloss black.

It also lacks aerodynamic elements at the front, and a set of 21-inch diameter wheels with tires measuring 245/40 R21 at the front and 285/35 R21 at the rear. In addition, 22-inch wheels with 255/35 R22 and 305/30 R22 tires can be optionally equipped.

In addition to a new exterior appearance, the preparer also put his hand on the suspension, which has a specific adjustment and components such as sport springs that lower the model's height by 25 millimeters. It also offers an electromechanically adjustable suspension that can be adjusted from the cabin.

Finally, the cabin incorporates some specific details, such as an aluminum pedalboard from the 'Dähler Competition Line' and an upholstery in leather and Alcantara fabric.

The most interesting thing about this BMW has to do with the engine. Dähler offers two improvement kits for the M40i, with two different power levels, and it is worth remembering that, fresh from the factory, the model delivers 360 hp and 500 Nm. In addition, the company plans to offer mechanical improvements for all X4 engines in the future, both gasoline and diesel.

The first stage raises power up to 410 hp and maximum torque up to 610 Nm, while the second step reaches 430 hp and 630 Nm, that is, 70 hp and an additional 130 Nm. In both cases, the main changes have to do with the electronic management of the 6-cylinder engine.
