NOVO KIA XCEED SAI DA RENOVADA LINHA DE PRODUÇÃO DE ZILINA

First units of the new compact crossover KIA XCeed will appear in the production line in Slovakia

The first units of the new KIA XCeed compact crossover are released from the company's production line in Zilina, Slovakia. Isso constituted or started manufacturing techniques that are still more efficient and sustainable in these facilities.

The updated production line has 40 new advanced robots in the areas of painting and assembly, which are part of a long-term plan to increase automation, efficiency and compliance with the most recent environmental regulations. In terms of sustainability, KIA's Slovak facilities use 100% renewable energy for their operations. To reduce waste, heat and water from the painting section are recycled throughout the plant.

All KIA models in Zilina are manufactured on the same production line, which increases efficiency and makes it easier to respond better to changes in the demands of different model lines. Besides the new XCeed, Zilina also manufactures the other members of the Ceed family of models, as well as the fifth generation of the Sportage. The plant also assembles the 1.5-liter Smartstream gasoline and mild-hybrid engines and the 1.6-liter Gamma T-GDi engine.

The new KIA XCeed...The product highlights of the XCeed include a new and charming exterior design, an improved interior and, for the first time, a sporty GT-Line finish. Isso will ensure that this model continues to be an attractive proposition not a popular segment two C-Crossover. The former XCeed became the best-selling member of the extensive family of Ceed models, with 40% of sales and a total production volume of more than 120,000 units.

The new XCeed is available with a selection of highly efficient electric powertrains, including mild-hybrid (MHEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV). The latter provides a range with exclusively electric propulsion of up to 48 km. All versions will be available from this month of September 2022.
