EV9 Concept appears on the web with a high quality rendering
Kia has announced that by 2027 it will launch 14 new electric models on the market, the first being the EV9, that is, the production version of the EV9 Concept. The Korean company's purely electric models will help its annual sales reach 1.2 million electric cars by 2030, the year in which it aims to sell 4 million cars worldwide.
50% of them will be eco-friendly, including hybrids and plug-in hybrids. Kia's ultimate goal is 2045, the year it wants to be carbon neutral.
Its large electric SUV will be about 5 meters long and will be able to do 0-100 km/h in 5 seconds. Its battery will offer a range of up to 540 km per charge, while 6 minutes of charging on a fast charger will give you a range of 100 km.
The EV9 will go on sale sometime in 2023, and Kia recently released some photos of a lightly camouflaged pre-production prototype. Based on this, the Bicycles graphic designers prepared two rendering photos that show us what the production version of the model will look like, with the expected reality -almost- not much different.
The model was developed at Kia's global research and development center in Namyang, South Korea, over a period of 44 months. During the final testing phase, the EV9 is continually put through a grueling program that includes all-wheel drive up a hill and rough terrain track, as well as a deep water driving test, to ensure maximum reliability. even under the most difficult conditions.
