CHEVROLET EQUINOX EV É APRESENTADO PARA O MUNDO

Equinox EV: the midsize zero-emission SUV is announced

After revealing the Silverado EV and Blazer EV, Chevrolet is introducing its third electric this year. It is the Equinox EV, a mid-sized, zero-emission SUV, designed for families who want to make the transition to this category of more efficient and sustainable vehicles.

“We are at an inflection point where EVs will become the top choice for the next generation of consumers, and the Equinox EV will be the product that will lead that trajectory for us,” said Mary Barra, president and CEO of General Motors. "With the flexibility provided by GM's Ultium platform, we will offer electric vehicles to the market in the most varied price ranges and proposals."

The Equinox EV is expected to be one of the most affordable electric SUVs in its class. In addition, it will be available in configurations with an estimated range of up to 500 km on a full charge.

The new model will complement Chevrolet's global electric portfolio, comprising the brand's current entry-level Bolt EV and Bolt EUV, and the upcoming Blazer EV (premium SUV) and Silverado EV (large pick-up).

“Chevrolet is ready to offer a wide range of EVs,” said Scott Bell, vice president of Chevrolet. “We know the profile of pick-up and SUV customers like no one else and we are channeling all this experience into our new EV lineup.”

The Equinox name is internationally known and the product has established itself as the most commercially successful passenger car of the Chevrolet brand globally for attributes such as style, space and safety.

The designers and engineers who designed the Equinox EV focused on taking these attributes to an even higher level, in line with the superior performance and handling of electric vehicles.

In addition to the Ultium technology (comprised of a platform, battery pack and propulsion), the Equinox EV innovates through the multimedia system with a 17.7-inch screen and driver assistance features, such as Super Cruise, capable of steering the vehicle practically autonomously by compatible roads.
