DORONI AEROSPACE
Doroni announced the presentation in the fourth quarter of this year of a demo version of its eVTOL H1 device model. It stands out for being positioned as a light aircraft ready for use in urban areas. At the same time, the machine has the function of vertical take-off and landing, but most importantly, the designers took care of protecting passersby by hiding all the dangerous moving parts inside huge housings.
The Doroni H1 has a two-seater pod located between two pairs of vertical stop screws. They are made according to a coaxial scheme and placed inside the original wings, which adds the ability to trust the air to the car and improve its aerodynamics. For movement in a horizontal plane, two more small propellers are placed behind.
The device has dimensions of 7 x 4.6 x 1.7 m, its lifting weight is 650 kg, but the payload does not exceed 200 kg. The car can accelerate to a speed of 225 km/h, but the flight range does not even reach 100 km. This is a consequence of the investment in safety - all mechanical and electrical systems are duplicated, batteries have various levels of backup power. The Doroni H1 has a parachute and airbags for a smooth landing in the event of an accident.
Users are expected to need no more than 20 hours of training after receiving FAA certification to be eligible to fly such an aircraft. However, that won't happen until 2024, despite the Doroni H1 full-scale prototype going live only in 2023. However, that doesn't stop the company from accepting pre-orders now, although the final price of the device is still unknown.
