ALPINA XB7 2023: MAIS POTÊNCIA PARA O FACELIFT DO X7

Alpina XB7 2023: the big SUV from the Bavarian house even more exclusive

Last April, BMW unveiled its revamped BMW X7, the big SUV from the Bavarian house, and Alpina then set to work to work on the model. Now, however, it has announced some changes to its preparation.

Although the front design remains unchanged, with the split headlights and the two large grille kidneys, there are more aggressive specific bumpers and backlighting for the kidneys themselves. At the rear, the redesigned exhaust outlets integrated into the bumper stand out.

Alpina's SUV features large 21-inch diameter alloy wheels, shod with 285/45 R21 tires on both axles, although a 23-inch wheel set is optionally offered with the classic Alpina 20-spoke design and finished. in Anthracite color.

In the latter case, the tires are specific Pirelli in sizes 285/35 R23 and 325/35 R23. Regarding the braking equipment, it has four-piston Brembo calipers on the front axle.

Under the hood of this XB7 is the new 4.4-liter V8 biturbo engine (S68) from BMW, with mild hybrid technology, which is coupled to a Z8 automatic transmission with torque converter and 8 speeds (with fins integrated into the steering wheel), and also a four-wheel drive system.

After a series of modifications by Alpina, the 8-cylinder block achieves a power of 639 hp, compared to the 630 hp they had initially announced, although the maximum torque figure of 800 Nm between 1,800 and 5,600 rpm remains.

Thanks to these power and torque figures, the German SUV now advertises an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in around 4 seconds and a top speed of 290 km/h. Furthermore, as it is also marketed in the United States, it promises a quarter mile (0-400 meters) time of 12.4 seconds.

The standard equipment includes, in addition to intelligent xDrive traction, an electronically controlled self-locking differential whose configuration is automatically adjusted according to different parameters (steering angle, wheel speed, coefficient of friction...), and a completely customizable. Delivery of the model is expected to begin early next year, but orders are already taking place.
