Hymer Venture S motorhome...At the 2019 Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, the German company Hymer presented a prototype called Vision Venture that imagined what a motorhome could look like in the year 2025, advancing a trend towards models with off-road and indoor capabilities. At first.
Now, the motorhome manufacturer has presented a production model derived from that concept, the Hymer Venture S, as interesting on the outside as it is on the inside, and which, moreover, is now available to order.
Despite its size, since the base is a current-generation Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, this all-terrain camper is only for two people, although it promises to allow travel to remote places thanks to its all-wheel drive and off-road tires.
The brand offers the body colors 'Stone Grey' and 'Spring Blue Metallic', which are combined with decorative stickers. In any case, the most interesting thing about this vehicle is, as usual, its interior, where thanks to 115 W roof solar panels, there are six 230 V sockets and eight USB ports. With the 320 Ah lithium battery system and the inverter as standard, you can enjoy up to 10 days of electrical self-consumption.
Among Hymer's solutions for this model, the so-called Instant Loft stands out, which is a pneumatic lifting roof that includes illuminated interior stairs for easy access, whose steps also serve as storage compartments. Nor does it lack a small 'office' area for work.
The upper floor, which unfolds in three minutes using a compressor, has a bed, a small storage space, its own window, an ambient lighting system and a device charging station. According to Hymer, a 'dual chamber' system protects from differences in noise, light and temperature for those sleeping in the upper area.
Also noteworthy is the Infinity Screen concept of the rear glass, which offers a 180-degree panoramic view, as well as a two-leaf folding back cover, but horizontal rather than vertical. Inside, there are also felt-like coverings and an adjustable table with a solid bamboo wood lid (which can be stored under the seat).
As it could not be otherwise, the kitchen of the Venture S is small, but very complete, with accessories in matte black, while the bathroom is a '2 in 1', as the cabin has a toilet, sink, mirror and shelves converts into a shower (the clean water tank is 120 liters). The natural stone-style finishes also draw attention.
Finally, in terms of technology, it includes a portable speaker, a projector with a wall screen, reading lights that can be installed in several places and the Hymer Connect system for the vehicle, which allows the control of several components through from the built-in 7.0-inch touchscreen or a smartphone.
