PORSCHE
Just a few hours ago, we received spy photos of another Porsche 718 Boxster Spyder RS prototype. If our sources are correct, among other things, the German novelty has almost 500 horsepower.
This new top-of-the-line 718 Boxster was first mentioned in February 2022, when Porsche executives hinted that such a car could be coming.
At the time, the automotive world was still buzzing with the debut of the 718 Cayman GT4 RS, so it was inevitable to talk about a similar roofless version of the Boxster. In May, a curious Boxster Spyder test car was spotted at the Nürburgring with extra hood openings. It also has a set of central locking rims, and we know they are reserved for Porsche's fastest street cars.
We see the same characteristics in this car, seen not on the race track, but on the back roads of Spain. Small vents are located on top of the side panels, drawing in air near the rear roof attachment points. The rear view of this Porsche shows the vents are at an angle to the engine mounted in the middle, likely increasing airflow for cooling. The side vents look a little bigger. The Naca air ducts on the hood and the vents in the front fenders almost confirm that this is a Spyder RS.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that Porsche will develop electric motors for e-bikes of its own production and of other brands. Porsche's concern is serious with the eBike market. Today, its press office announced that it continues to expand its commitment to the new mode of transport.
