EXCLUSIVE: Urus-based Revuelto electrified SUV to launch in 2029

The days of Lamborghini cars that are powered by good ol' internal combustion engines seem to be numbered as Sant'Agata Bolognese fans say goodbye to cars powered by internal combustion engines this year. It has already been confirmed that the successors of the current Huracan and Aventador will receive hybrid engines, while the updated version of the Urus crossover will also receive a partially electrified engine. All three vehicles are expected to be hybrids by 2025, with the brand's first electric model to be unveiled sometime later.

In an interview earlier this year, Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann announced that the company's first electric car with a 2+2-seater formula will be launched in 2029.

There were rumors at the time that it would be a smaller crossover than the Urus. Given its interior layout, it should serve as the spiritual successor to the Urraco, the last 2+2 GT car sold by Lambo from 1972 to 1978, when fewer than 800 units were produced.

The name Lamborghini Revuelto, supposedly reserved for the new Italian crossover, was first mentioned in a patent application filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) a few months ago. He said the Italian automaker is preparing another model without the bull's name.

Not long ago, our publication wrote that the restyled Lamborghini Urus broke the Bentley Bentayga record by 18 seconds. The official presentation of the restyled version of the Lamborghini Urus has not yet taken place, but the Italian manufacturer has already made a serious announcement: the novelty has broken the Pikes Peak mountain record.
