An electric car is easy to make powerful - just choose the appropriate electric motor. The industry is developing so quickly because power plants are so much simpler than internal combustion engines. But at FAW, in the case of the Hongqi LS7, they didn't follow suit with eco-activists and technomods: the SUV turned out to be big, brutal, and gas-powered. Right in the spirit of fellow Americans.
To understand the “scale of the tragedy”, it is enough to compare the dimensions of the Khuntsy flagship and its American counterparts:
-Hongqi LS7: 5695/2095/1985 mm, wheelbase - 3309 mm;
-Cadillac Escalade ESV: 5766/2060/1941 mm, wheelbase - 3406;

In a different situation, this car would obviously have been popular in Russia no worse than some Land Cruiser 300, but now times are different. And while the Hongqi LS7 has already been announced in the Russian market, the big and luxurious Hongqi LS7 will definitely not make it to many markets.
Inside, the instrument panel has four screens: in the instrument panel and in the center console (both with a diagonal of 12.3 inches), as well as screens with a diagonal of 12.8 inches mounted on the backs of the front seats. Interestingly, the front passenger does not have its own screen, although it is already found in modern Chinese electric vehicles.
The steering wheel is also very remarkable. It's all about the rim, which is located under the hub. That's a beep! Just like old cars. Retro theme - analog clock on the front panel and on-screen radio interface design. By the way, there are no freedoms in the design of the graphical interface of the media system: there is only a design theme. Toggling or changing colors, as is now done almost everywhere, will not work.
The separate rear seats are equipped with heating, ventilation and an integrated massager. They can be reclined like business class seats on an airplane. Interestingly, atmospheric backlight is implemented on the back, here you can already choose one of 254 colors.
And what's under the hood of the Hongqi LS7? There is a turbocharged gasoline engine with a volume of 4.0 liters and an output of 360 hp. Considering that the tare weight of the car is 3100 kg, this is not so much. The engine is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission, the drive is all-wheel drive. The car accelerates to 100 km/h in 9.1 and consumes 16.4 liters per 100 km. By the way, there's no load-bearing body here - the frame structure, like a real SUV.
