Civic Type R won an interesting accessory package developed by the Japanese brand itself

Tal Civic Type R was shown at the 4th round of the 2022 Super GT Championship in Japan, which was held at Fuji Speedway on the weekend of August 6th and 7th. The most notable upgrade is the new carbon fiber rear wing.

It is a kilogram lighter than the standard and shows a more angular shape. The result is an increase in downforce. Including due to the aerodynamic fins on the bottom.

The Civic Type R demo is painted in Sonic Gray Pearl and features a set of bright red exterior mirrors to match the same shade of brake calipers, badges and center caps.

Honda Access provided several interior details for the "loaded" hatchback. This list includes side sills with illuminated Type R logo, aluminum shift knob wrapped in red leather, carbon fiber and red polyester finish, branded floor mats, wireless charging for gadgets, and more. For the domestic market, Honda Access accessories will be available in September.

Whether they will leave Japan has yet to be reported. The new Civic Type R was supposed to receive a 2.0 turbo four-cylinder engine, whose power is still kept secret. A Japanese source claims the JDM variants will have 326 hp. and 420 Nm, serious numbers for a car sold exclusively with front-wheel drive.
