GAC
GAC timed the announcement of the Aeon V Plus crossover for the Chengdu Motor Show. The car is interesting due to a combination of several factors. It's designed for seven seats, is a pure electric vehicle, and costs just $30,000. Typically in China, that's what they ask for hybrids that can only run about 150km in purely electric mode. Immediately with a single charge, the car covers a distance of 500 km - and that's in the basic version. In the upper range, the power reserve increases to 720 km.
The GAC Aeon V Plus is a mid-sized crossover by European standards. Its dimensions are 4650 x 1920 x 1720 mm and the length of the wheelbase is 2830 mm. At the same time, the interior space is organized very correctly. So, for example, the second row seats not only move forwards and backwards, but can also be fully folded. If you also fold the rear seats down, you get a cargo platform with a volume of 1563 liters - you can carry surfboards or, for example, equip a bed for the night.
In the cabin, as in any modern electric car, there are a few screens: one as part of a digital dashboard and another in the center of the front panel. There are also driver assistance systems under the general name ADiGO PILOT, including, for example, an automatic valet.
Interestingly, the GAC Aeon V Plus is a four-wheel drive vehicle: electric motors are on both axles. The power plant capacity is 225 or 272 hp. There are four options for the traction battery - 71.8, 72.3, 80 and 95.8 kWh. Power reserve, respectively, 500, 600 and 702 km (according to NEDC measurement methodology).
The electric car starts at $27,600. The more affordable seven-seat version costs exactly $30,000. Well, the most expensive version of the car is estimated at $39,200.
