Chinese luxury brand introduced the electric sedan for just $30,600

The luxury brand of the Chinese company FAW presented the Hongqi E-QM5 electric sedan. For a pure electric car, it turned out to be cheap - just $30,600. The same Tesla Model 3 costs a third more. At the same time, the Hongqi E-QM5 Plus is much more spacious - the length of the car exceeds 5 meters.

Interestingly, the E-QM5 Plus is an improved version of the E-QM5 electric car released in March. The Chinese are known for their tendency to frequently update current models or release improved versions of them very quickly.

Dimensions E-QM5 Plus - 5040 x 1910x 1569 mm, wheelbase - 2990 mm. The car has a minimalist interior design in the spirit of the same Tesla, but the screen on the center panel is small - 10 inches. The multimedia entertainment system supports voice control. Multi-function remote control is also supported - from a smartphone.

Interestingly, with a table of impressive dimensions, the trunk of the car is small - its volume is 433 liters. Obviously, the maximum increase came in the second row space.

The power plant here is quite simple: a permanent magnet synchronous motor is installed on the front axle, its power is 190 hp. The capacity of the traction battery was 82 kWh, the maximum range (measured according to the NEDC standard) was 605 km. For comparison, the range of a conventional E-QM5 is 431 km.
