Porsche Pretty Cool Ice Cream

Last Sunday, July 17th, National Ice Cream Day in the United States, Porsche and the Chicago ice cream shop Pretty Cool Ice Cream held a fun and successful initiative.

Personalization plays a key role in Porsche vehicles. With more than 160 colors available via the 'Paint to Sample' program, in addition to the individual colors of 'Paint to Sample Plus' and traditional paint options, the German manufacturer aspires to fulfill every customer's desire so that they can own the Porsche of your dreams. Following this principle and in celebration of National Ice Cream Day in the United States, Porsche Cars North America announced the launch of a limited edition of ice cream, inspired by Porsche colors and with flavors matching their denominations.

In collaboration with Pretty Cool Ice Cream, a small ice cream shop in Chicago, five ice creams were created with eye-catching packaging to match.

-Mint Green: Cookies and cream ice cream and mint green, covered with a layer of mint green white chocolate.

-Red Strawberry: cream cheese ice cream, bathed in a layer of red s]trawberry. For its elaboration, real freeze-dried strawberries were used.

-Metalized Macadamia: toasted macadamia nut ice cream with a sparkling macadamia-colored chocolate coating.

-Iced Raspberry Metallized: Black raspberry ice cream with a brilliant frosting of frozen raspberry Ruby colored chocolate.

-Metalized Golden Lime: Lemon pie ice cream with a golden lime bright caramel topping.

“This project was fun and brought lots of smiles, as did the wide range of colors available for all our vehicles,” commented Ayesha Coker, VP Marketing, Porsche Cars North America. “The people at Pretty Cool Ice Cream were as meticulous and passionate as we are about getting the perfect colors. Plus, they created delicious flavors to match. Porsche enthusiasts of all ages really enjoyed these ice creams! In the same way, we enjoyed its elaboration”.

“My uncle ‘Targa Dan’ has always been passionate about restoring Porsche vehicles. During the last 50 years he's worked on over 200 cars, so I've grown very close to the brand. When Porsche contacted me to make some custom ice cream inspired by the brand's colors, I was thrilled,” said Dana Salls Cree, owner of Pretty Cool Ice Cream. “Like the sports models from Zuffenhausen, the ice creams we create are part of a truly passionate project that I am delighted to share.”
