With the idea of ​​reinvigorating the sports and adventure motorcycles segment, the new KTM 1290 SuperADV S arrives at the brand's dealerships in the country to define a new concept of adventure.

For its development, the Austrian factory has made the most of market feedback during the last eight years, for an era focused on riding and innovative technology, with the launch of the third generation of sport-tourer models above 1000 cc.

In short, it is the sportiest, most technologically advanced adventure-oriented model on the production line in Mattighofen, Austria, forged to provide versatility with the best ergonomics and comfort, in any situation. It thus becomes the best motorcycle for high-performance adventure on the streets and roads, whatever the distance, with unprecedented features on the market.

Exclusive KTM technology: Adaptive Cruise Control brings more safety and comfort to the rider...The KTM 1290 SuperADV S features the revolutionary system called ACC - Adaptive Cruise Control, developed in collaboration with Bosch, which raises the level of riding pleasure.

The new technology is based on an innovative radar system that automatically adjusts the speed and safe distance to the vehicle ahead according to five stages that can be selected from the joysticks. A milestone in terms of safety and rider comfort offered for the first time as standard equipment on a motorcycle.

Another modern technology in favor of safety and which translates into an even better riding experience is the Cornering-ABS, which allows the rider to apply the brakes even when the bike is leaning. The system is managed by the Bosch 10.3ME Combined ABS processor that guarantees the rider to enjoy greater peace of mind when riding.

Managing all electronics during the ride is one of the hallmarks of this generation, now with less intrusive levels of traction control in Rain, Street, Sport, OffRoad and an updated RALLY mode (optional).

The ultimate driving experience is enhanced with the brand new 7.0 inch TFT panel which is connected to a new Connectivity Unit for perfect pairing with smartphones. At the heart of the dashboard, the menu systems are faster and more practical, as well as offering clear aesthetic infographics to intuitively indicate various bike adjustment options. A USB charging socket has been positioned just below the panel.

To communicate with the new display, the new joysticks on both sides of the handlebars offer the most seamless experience with a set of quick-select and favorite buttons that allow real-time setting changes and, while the rider remains focused on the roads.

Redesigned Ergonomics...With a focus on sharper handling, the KTM 1290 SuperADV S features a revised chassis that further improves weight distribution and agility. A more sensitive feel for the ride has been established through the repositioning of the headset by 15 mm to the rear, in addition to the repositioning of the front of the engine. The lattice swingarm is longer, which makes for a more stable experience when accelerating, while the subframe is designed to provide a lower seat height.

A new 23-litre fuel tank - keyless - is enhanced by fairings that enhance the bike's agile feel.

In order to provide additional comfort on long journeys, the seat is two-level and adjustable by 20 mm. Also customizable are the handlebar adjustments, the new dashboard and the windshield which was developed through wind tunnel testing and can be adjusted to 55mm. However, the KTM 1290 SuperADV S also stands out for its new mass centralization and refined weight balance, which begs for more force to be ridden or for the throttle to be stroked over long distances.

Engineering mastery...The heart of the KTM 1290 SuperADV S is the Euro5-compliant V-twin, and now 1.6kg lighter thanks to slimmer engine casings and a new oil circuit. With 160 hp and 138 Nm, the engine brings innovations and a revised exhaust system.

The new pistons have further increased reliability and the entire unit retains better cooling thanks to a new water/oil system. The two new radiators have been redesigned to channel hot air away from the rider's legs. Maintenance intervals of 15,000 km and low fuel consumption complete the re-energized engine.

The Motorcycle Traction Control, which depends on the lean angle, has two different controllers: one for wheel slip and one for the lean angle, with its own data and strategies. Cornering ABS and Offroad ABS systems are products of the new Bosch Stability Control.

The KTM 1290 SuperADV S comes with the new generation of WP Apex Semi-Active Technology suspension, which features more damping thanks to new valves, while a 6D lean angle sensor works directly on the unit for a complete preview of the behavior of the vehicle. rider while riding on any terrain.
