The new ZR-V is also coming to Europe next year

Honda officially confirmed earlier that it will expand its European range with a brand new SUV model called the ZR-V.

The ZR-V will arrive on the European market in 2023 and will occupy a place between the HR-V and CR-V models in the range of this brand. Until that happens, we have before us the Japanese version of the Honda ZR-V, which premiered today. Also, Honda shows us what we can expect from next year in Europe.

The Japanese ZR-V will be available in several versions, namely with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and in a variant with a hybrid drive system from the Civic e:HEV. Both will get four-wheel drive in Japan.

Full technical specifications will be released in the coming months, however, before September when Honda starts taking orders for the new ZR-V in Japan.

On the other hand, in Europe, the new ZR-V will most likely be available only with a hybrid drive, as part of Honda's strategy to revamp its European lineup with hybrid models.

The letter Z in the name originates from Honda's desire to satisfy the "mobility needs of generation Z and breaking paradigms in search of new experiences".
