V21L: the brand's new electrified motorcycle with racing DNA
At an exclusive event in Modena, Ducati unveiled a new MotoE racing motorcycle for the upcoming season, called the V21L.
Overall, the V21L looks a lot like the prototype the Italian company tested earlier this year.
However, the final product looks more refined, and Ducati has added a little to the overall package and made it significantly more appealing.
Like all Ducati two-strokes, the V21L carries the Italian giant's racing DNA, represented by carbon fiber components and numerous other details.
Even though the V21L is the first attempt by a reputable manufacturer to make a fully functional electric motorcycle, of course it's Ducati.
The maximum power of this machine is 110 kW (ie around 150 HP), with 140 Nm of torque. Speed at 275 km/h.
The motorcycle weighs 225 kilograms, almost half the weight of the 18 kWh battery, connected directly to the rear fork.
According to Ducati, the V21L meets all Dorna's necessary requirements.
Among the other key components, we highlight:
-Ohlins NPX 25/30 suspension
-Fully adjustable Ohlins TTX36 rear suspension
-Ohlins shock absorber steering
-Specially designed Brembo calipers
Ducati claims that the V21L has a special cooling system, which allows you to charge the motorcycle without waiting for the battery, motor and inverter to cool down.
