Nano Box: the small Chinese electric urban
The Dacia Spring is one of the best-selling Chinese-made cars in Europe. It derives directly from the Renault Kwid/K-ZE, being manufactured thanks to the collaboration between Renault and Dongfeng, a Chinese brand that also has its own version.
In order to capture the attention of users, Dongfeng Motor decided to update its small electric urban car and under the name Nano Box, it offers a more refined, visually appealing and higher quality option.
The new interior is much more attractive and complete than in the Dacia Spring, including a new multimedia equipment with a 10-inch touchscreen, a redesigned center console with the gear rotor in an elevated position, new instrumentation, in addition to more careful materials.
On the outside, the important changes are in the front, which softens its features to achieve a fresher, more modern and elegant image. The brand also plays with decorative details and colors to attract the younger audience that is the target that this model usually targets.
What has not changed in relation to the model of the Romanian brand is the 100% electric motor with 45 hp in combination with an automatic transmission and the lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 27.2 kWh, with which it can run around 330 km in urban cycle according to Chinese homologation. It won't reach other markets for now, but it could serve as a basis for updating Dacia Spring.
