GR Corolla Morizo Edition: limited to 200 units
The Morizo Edition was specially designed for the most radical and adds even more pepper to Toyota's GR line.
This track-oriented version of the GR Corolla was designed to meet the specifications desired by Akio Toyoda himself, with a tuned ride, a high power-to-weight ratio and a very rigid body.
Only 200 numbered copies will be produced for the 2023 model year.
Under the hood of the Morizo edition hides a 300 hp engine and torque increased up to 400 Nm of torque, available between 3,250 and 4,600 rpm.
The Morizo Edition features a unique closed-ratio intelligent manual transmission (iMT) and shorter differential gears for satisfying acceleration throughout the power range.
GR engineers removed just over 45 kg of unnecessary fat, bringing the empty weight to 1,445 kg. The main weight reduction came from the elimination of the rear seat, a forged carbon fiber roof and forged wheels. The design of the seats also allowed for the elimination of weight at the rear, where the speakers, the window drivers and even the windshield wiper blade were removed.
GR engineers have also increased rigidity, with a number of additional reinforcements and no less than 349 new spot welds to which six meters of additional structural adhesive are added.
The Morizo Edition comes equipped with the GR-Four All Wheel Drive system, with 30-70, 50-50 and 60-40 settings for more personalized control. Dual limited-slip differentials come as standard.
Inside, there are exclusive sports seats and the outside has functional ventilation, with exclusive front brake ducts.
The GR Corolla Morizo Edition will be available in select markets.
