Torres: is the brand's new SUV that has already been announced in South Korea
SsangYong has just presented in its home country, South Korea, the Torres, a new SUV that sits above the Korando, its representative within the compact crossovers. For now, the Korean brand has limited itself to releasing some images of the car.In these photos we can see a robust looking vehicle, with trapezoidal wheel arches, in the purest Jeep style, in addition to a bold front, with six vertical blades, also similar to those used by the American brand.
What is surprising is the interior, as it has three screens on the dashboard: one for the digital instrument panel, another for the infotainment system and another for controlling the climate control system. A solution very similar to that of some Audi vehicles.
The cabin features many aluminum inserts, leather-finished panels and an original four-spoke steering wheel. The truth is that the perceived quality has been greatly increased in this car.
In South Korea, the SsangYong Torres can be marketed with a turbocharged gasoline engine, with 1.5 liters and 170 hp, coupled to an automatic transmission with a 6-speed torque converter. The line will include 4x2 and total 4x4 front-wheel drive versions.
In principle, this model will land in Europe in the second half of 2023 and will only do so in a 100% electric version. Obviously, there is still a long way to go to know the technical details of this eco-friendly SUV.The Combustion Towers offers a large trunk of 703 liters, which reaches 1,662 liters folding the rear seats. As standard, it equips automatic climate control, LED headlights, front seats and heated steering wheel, among other things.
