Alpine A110 Tour de Corse 75: the print version of the French classic
The prestigious French brand has just presented a new limited edition of its mid-engined sports car. The new Alpine A110 Tour de Corse 75 is a special series with a production limited to just 150 copies worldwide. The model is available for reservation from today and is inspired by the Alpine A110 that participated in the 1975 Tour de Corse. The new limited edition Alpine is distinguished from the rest of the versions by its exterior design and sporty interior. Inspired by the world of rallying, the A110 Tour de Corse 75 combines performance and driving dynamics while immersing passengers in the sensations of the legendary Tour de Corse, 'the rally of 10,000 corners', as Alpine explains in a press release.
The Alpine A110 that took part in the 1975 race was one of the cars from the 77 teams that were on the starting grid. Only 22 of them made it to the final and the winner was decided between the Alpine A110 and the Lancia Stratos HF in the last special. The difference was between 5 and 30 seconds between the two before the last stage and it was in the last timed sector where the cars fought a battle for the victory. Alpine was behind by a minimal difference, 32 seconds which was enough for him not to reach the highest point of the podium.Returning to the limited-edition Tour de Corse 75, Alpine painted the A110's body yellow and integrated black contrast elements such as the roof and hood. It also has black and white decorations, such as the ‘Tour de Corse 75’ signature and the number 7 on the back. The entire set rests on 18-inch Glossy White Grand Prix wheels and contrasts with the orange color of the Brembo brake calipers. Inside, Sabelt bucket seats are embroidered with the name of the limited edition and can be fitted with racing belts. The Alpine A110 Tour de Corse 75 is a limited edition of 150 numbered units with a specific plate. The edition will also feature the new Alpine multimedia system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
